After the Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum closed in 2015 the exhibits were dispersed and this aircraft is now displayed at the Yankee Air Museum, Ypsilanti, MI.

This a/c was redesignated a GF-100C in October 1962, and was used as a ground instructional airframe at Chanute AFB, IL. When the base closed it was transferred to the Chanute Air Museum. When the museum closed in 2015 it was transferred to the Yankee Air Museum in Ypsilanti, Michigan where it is on display.

This Thunderbirds F-100 is one of the survivors from the terribly sad demise of the Chanute Air Museum at Rantoul. It arrived at YIP during October 2015 and is now part of the very interesting Yankee Air Museum.
