This was the second prototype for the Mitsubishi F-1, converted on the assembly line from the seventh Mitsubishi T-2. Shown here taxiing out after making a fuel stop at Misawa Air Base. It was accompanied by a F-104J chase plane.

One of the exhibits at the Gifu Air Base Museum. I waited as late as possible after the flying display before photographing the exhibits in order to reduce the number of people in the background. I couldn't wait any longer as the sun was about to be lost and I had to get around to the other exhibits. There was usually no access to these aircraft museum except the one day of the annual Air Festival as they are on base.
