The 777 had its debut at a Paris Air Show one year after the first flight of the first prototype, and just few weeks after the delivery of the first aircraft to the launch customer.

Delivered new to United Airlines in January 1996. Stored at San Francisco between February - November 2021. Stored at Hong Kong between November 2021 and 18 Jan2022. One day later ferried to Victorville, for storage.

On 13th February 2018 on a flight from San Francisco to Honolulu, Hawaii, the aircraft experienced an in-flight separation of a fan blade and subsequent loss of the inlet and fan cowls on the starboard engine. The aircraft landed safely at Honolulu. A very similar incident at Denver with a sister aircraft N772UA on 20th February 2021 led to the grounding of the Pratt & Whitney PW4000 series engined fleet

Due to strong winds many a/c were departing from rw27 - good as it gave the oppportunity for shots with a different background (for me at least).
