Crashed 04. October 2010 while approaching to Smolensk (Russia) in heavy fog. Poland's president Lech Kaczynski and his wife leading a delegation of high Polish representatives died in the crash. 88 passengers and 8 crew were on the plane. No survivors are reported.

Delivered in Jun 1990. It was re-registered 101 in Dec 96 and given a new red/white Air Force livery. The rest of its unfortunate history is covered in Alastair T. Gardiner's photo of this aircraft.

Unfortunately, this beautiful aircraft would be destroyed on 10th April 2010 when it crashed on approach to Smolensk, Russia in poor visibility. All 96 people on board were killed, including Polish President Lech Kaczynski and numerous high-ranking members of the Polish Government and military.
