Delivered to the USAF on 22 October 1981, flew first from Bitbrug, then Eielson, eglin en Nellis before it was transferred to the Oregon Air National Guard. It is seen here during a Frisian Flag exercise at Leeuwarden. It was flown over from the 123rd homebase Portland (OR) to Davis Monthan for storage on 4 December 2024.

Exercise MAPLE FLAG runs from May 22 to June 15 and is divided into two two-week periods. During each period, forces from Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Belgium, the United States, the United Kingdom and NATO engage in a simulated, 10-day coalition air campaign. CP-140 Aurora and CC-130 Hercules aircraft, along with a CH-146 Griffon helicopter add to a more robust Canadian Air Force capability during the exercise, while land forces are incorporated into the MF scenario.
