Hot Air Balloons tend to have a short lifespan, typically around 400 flying hours as the fabric becomes porous to hot air. Many older examples in the UK are preserved by the British Balloon Museum and Library and inflated but not flown every two years. This example, though built in 1979 does seem to still be airworthy.
