Built in 1958 and here still company owned for demonstration purposes. In 1971 it was registered to Intermountain Air Services as N6080 and last heard of was retired to the Yankee Air Museum painted in US Army livery as "24171".

Civilian aircraft N6080 with no military history exhibited in the Yankee Air Museum painted to represent US Army C-7B 24171 (62-4171) used in Vietnam.

The second DHC-4 prototype, widely reported to have been 'CF-LAX-X' but that seems to be a typo.

This 1958 DHC-4 was once assigned to the fleet of Nordair (CF-LAN), was sold to Imperial Oil (CF-LAN) before it became N6080 in Jun'71. That registration was carried with Internountain Aviation up to early 1975. The Caribou flew from Feb'75 with Air America and started to operate with this Environmental Research Institute of Michigan from June 1976. The Caribou was pictured at a small airshow at Willow Run in '89. It stayed here with HAT Aviation from August 1998 and was stored. It is currently preserved at in full US Army colours with fake serial '24171' at the Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run.

Ex CF-LAN. Operated by Intermountain Air Services and mainly used for a US Forest Service smoke-jumpers contract and for free-fall sky divers.
