This was Taken On Charge with the USAF as 55-4439 but went to the Armée de l'Air in 1956 and flew with the French until wfu in January 1978. It was then ferried to RAF Sculthorpe, on its return to USAF but in June 1979 the NMUSAF Loan Program placed the plane with the North East Land, Sea and Air Museums near Sunderland. In January 2020 it transferred to the SWAM where it is now on display outside at the main entrance.

After several decades at the NEAM, this T-33 was loaned out to the South Wales Aviation Museum in 2020.

C/n 580-9883 ex French AF, 55-4439. Previously used at RAF Sculthorpe as an airfield decoy. Moved to SWAM (on loan) on 22 January 2020.
