Repainted into these colours since its 2019 visit to Europe for the 75th anniversary of D-Day, when it carried the (genuine) colours of Civil Air Transport of China. Awaiting departure to Old Warden with N47TB, N74589 and NC33644.

LT24 D-Day 80 N8336C has been re-painted 'Spirit of Douglas', First around the World. Previously seen UK as Spirit of Benovia.

Note the roundel with the tiger has been replaced with the star and bar.

Entered service with the USAAF in June 1942 as 42-47371. To the RAF in September 1942 as FJ712 (serving in India). Back to its USAAF identity in December 1942. To Civil Air Transport in December 1949 as N8336C. To Air Asia in July 1953 as N1794B. Became N67K in December 1953 and N47L in January 1954. Converted to a DC-3-S1C3G in June 1955. To N147M in July 1962. Used in the filming of the movie 'Richie Rich' in 1994. Became N943DJ in July 1999. Now back in its historic CAT livery, along with the appropriate registration.

Delivered to the USAAF as C-53 42-47371 in 1942. To China as CA4 in 1946 then XT-T21 in 1947. To N8336C in 1949, N1794B in 1953, N67K then N47L in 1955 and N943DJ in 2006. Back to N8336C by 2017 and repainted in its previous Civil Air Transport colours.

JM Air painted their DC-3 in the actual and wonderful Civil Air Transport colours and matching registration which it carried when it operated for that airline in China in the 1940s and early 1950s. It is seen here taxiing in after landing, having just arrived from the Daks over Normandy event at Caen, France.
