The German Navy received their first Sea Lynx anti-submarine helicopter in 1981. These were later joined by seven Super Lynx, the survivors of the original order being re-built to the same standards. About 22 are in service at Nordholz with MFG.3 and MFG.5. The example from the former unit (seen here at one of the charity Northolt Nightshoot events) was part of the original order, converted to Super Lynx in the early 2000s.
