The red "ghost symbol" on the fin was the traditional squadron symbol of the 1st Squadron of the F 10 Wing (also known as the "Ghost Red" Squadron), and the number '06' was the individual identification number within this unit. The symbol remained on the '06' during this aircraft's servicetime with the Austrian Air Force.

In order to keep the Austrian Air Force's three C-130Ks in service for longer, a fourth Hercules was purchased from the Royal Air Force in 2015 to be used for spare parts. The aircraft, with the serial number 382-4261, was built in 1967 and entered service with the RAF on 8 March 1968 as XV295. After 45 years of service, the Hercules was taken out of active service on 29 October 2013 and stored at Saint Athan. On 10 December 2015, it was flown to Linz-Hörsching. The next day, the tail was removed and the aircraft was pushed into the hangar. Since then, it has been dismantled piece by piece.

The fog lifted for a few minutes, allowing this photo to be taken. In the foreground is 8T-CB and in the background is the Austrian Air Force's fourth Hercules 8X-CZ, which had landed the day before.

5D-HZ was rebuilt with parts of 5D-HE (w/o 1st October 97) and the fuselage of an ex Sudanese example.

Hovering above the crowd line of the AirPower 2003 show, this Alouette 3 was delivered in November 1969 to the Österreichische Luftstreitkräfte. It is here seen assigned to the Verbindungshubschrauberstaffel (VeHSSta, Communication Helicopter Squadron). On 24 May 2024, the Alouette III was retired. The current whereabouts of Kilo India are not known (to me).

Buzzing the Zeltweg skies, thsi JetRanger, delivered to the Österreichische Luftstreitkräfte on 1 July 1976, is armed with a canon and the left side. The helicopter once flew with the 3.Hub.Staf./FIR 1, but this unit was redesignated in 2010 to Mehrzweckhubschrauberstaffel (MzHSSt)

Originally built as a Saab J35D with serial 35324 for the Swedish Air Force. It flew as code 19 (and 24) with F4 and was withdrawn from Swedish service with 1.966 flying hours. The Draken was converted and upgraded with Chaff and Flare and Radar Warning Receivers by SAAB and FFV Aerotech to J35Ö for the Österreichische Luftstreitkräfte. It received a new construction number 351406 and serial 06 and was officially designated J35Ö Mk.II. Delivered to Austria 1.Staffel/FIR 2 in Oct'94 and retired on 24 June 2005. Preserved Fachhochschule Joanneum in Graz since July 2009.
