Lack of space ruled out a more decent shot of the university's Starfighter. Lockheed built it for the Luftwaffe under FMS with initial serial 63-13622. The ROCAF took it on strength in 1983 as 4195 and it has been with the university since at least 2001. Above the titles 中華科技大學 on the nose is a USAF format data block, but without serial.

Formerly 5145 with alternate serial 50318, derived from its FMS serial 75-0318. Instructional airframe here since at least 2007 and taken well care of. In the colours of the University complete with titles in Chinese on the nose as 中華科技大學 .

Sheltered from the elements but also partly from view. The former 2723, and B-1822 before that, largely kept its air force livery. The logo of the university, where Lufthansa Technical Training has a branch as well, was applied to the tail and its name to the forward fuselage as 中華科技大學. Instructional airframe here since the beginning of this century.

Contrary to the three jets across the street, used for instruction under a roof, the piston aircraft here were on display in the open. They also had English titles in addition to the Chinese version, 中華科技大學. Later, a third Islander was added to the collection and in 2015, all four were given a roof over their heads. The second Islander is B-11123.

Said to have made its last flight in December 1997, this beauty has been preserved here since at least 2001. She received a new coat of paint in 2003 and both the FMS and Taiwanese serials were reapplied at roughly the same location as they were during ROCAF service. Landing gear is still functional and the staff is able to turn the engines as well.

Built in Romania and operated by Taiwan Airways for at least 11 years until the end of last century. The Chinese version of the university name, 中華科技大學, has been applied with reference to the direction of flight (from nose to tail), as usual. My unannounced visit here was met with great hospitality.

Resprayed in full University livery with Chinese (中華科技大學) and English titles, and being kept in outstanding condition, like the rest of the collection. Although the sign says C-119G, this is an F model as far as I could determine. The university lies some 20km (12.5mi) southeast of Hsinchu air base.

Former Taiwan Airways machine, manufactured in Gosselies (Charleroi, Belgium) and assembled in Bembridge (UK). In a slightly different University livery with titles 中華科技大學 and the same in English, as had all three aircraft out in the open. The registration is on the fin, behind the wing here.
