The aircraft carries writing to mark the last flight of a Mirage IIIB in 1993. It wears also here the both squadron badge within this Mirage III B operated: EB 2/91"Bretagne" and CIFAS 328

This Fishbed-F flew with the NVA from 1966 to 1969 as 698, whereafter it became an instructional airframe at OHS LSK/LV (Offiziershochschule der Luftstreitkräfte / Luftverteidigung) (air force officer taining school) at Bautzen. From 1995 it was placed on display at the Aeropark Brandenburg, Diepensee, Berlin but came to this very friendly museum in March 2001.

THis Hip-C flew with the NVA from 1969. From 1994 it was displayed at Aeropark Brandenburg, Diepensee, Berlin and came to the Musée de l'Abri in December 1999.

These are the remains, mostly engines and cannon, of a Kampfgeschwader 51 'Edelweiss' Me-262 that crashed at Eberbach-Selz on 14th January 1945. The pilot, Leutnant Oswald Ritter von Rittersheim, was killed and is buried in the cemetary at Bergzaben. Please get in touch if the Werk Nummer (serial) of this plane is known.

The Musée de l'Abri at Hatten in the Alsace is a super museum that preserves and showcases a section of the Maginot line. They also have three aircraft and some military hardware as exhibits. It is a friendly, interesting museum and really worth a visit.
