Built in the Curtiss shops at Hammondsport, New York, in 1912, the Curtiss Pusher Model E-8-75 was shipped to San Diego, California, and used for pilot training at the Curtiss facility on Coronado Island. The airframe was stored in a barn from about 1915 until discovered in 1940 by a CAA inspector who bought the remains. It was later restored and flew again in 1966 and was donated to the EAA Museum in 1969. A very important part of aviation history in this incredible museum!
