Photo may be taken at Suttons Farm where 2687 was sent in November 1915. Suttons Farm was one of the aerodromes built to defend London against Zeppelin raids. It closed after the war and returned to farming use. However it was soon acquired by the RAF to become Hornchurch aerodrome, one of the key bases during the Battle of Britain. It closed for good in 1962. Photo from: Library and Archives Canada

Photo taken in Florence during 28 Squadron's posting to Italy. Campo di Marte aerodrome opened in 1911 as a military field and remained in use until 1930 when Peretola (LIRQ) replaced it. It is assumed the RFC/RAF used it. Photo from: Library and Archives Canada
