Used as a ground trainer with Rocky Mountain Emergency Services from 1996. Was preserved at Malmstrom AFB.

Was N99472 at one time, possibly for its delivery flight to Helena. Used as an instructional airframe. Now with the Miracle of America Museum in Montana.

Delivered new in 12.69. Latterly converted to freighter and operated by Baker Aviation.

Sold into the civil market as N7120.

When disposed of in 1966 received the civil registration N16565. Went to the Montana State University School of Technology presumably as an instructional airframe. Displayed at Helena airport.

Owned by the Helena Vocational-Technology Centre as an instructional airframe while retaining its USAF markings. Was registered N4357L in 1981 for its delivery flight to Helena. Cancelled 2013. In 2017 transported by road to Castle AFB, California for display

Instructional airframes at the Helena Vocational Technical Center. This T-39A was registered to the Helena Vocational Technical Center as N9166Y on 5 Nov 1993, but it is very likely that this registration was never actually painted on the aircraft. It was cancelled from the register 15 years later, on 9 Dec 2008. The Connie behind is EC-121T N4257L, ex USAF 52-3417.

Caught in very nice evening light with the sun on the horizon, as can be seen in the reflection. This Huey is on display on a pole near the entrance of the old Montana Army National Guard base, at the junction of Washington Street and Airport Road.

Instructional airframes at the Helena Vocational Technical Center, with T-39A 61-0677 parked in front. This EC-121T is ex USAF 52-3417 but this serial is no longer carried, despite it still carrying its USAF livery. In May 2009 it was acquired by the Evergreen Aviation Museum, with plans to move it to McMinnville, OR. However, restoration work on the aircraft was halted when Evergreen declared bankruptcy in Dec 2013. The Connie was transferred to the Castle Air Museum in Jan 2014, but the current status of the project is unclear. Note the "Helena VO-Tech" titles on the radome.
