Delivered to the USAF as 53-3537 in 1955. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1974. Sold to Hamilton Aviation as N1021B in 1979. To General Aviation in 1980 and converted to a freighter. Reregistered as N450GA in 1984. To Kitty Hawk Airways in 1988. To Rhoades Aviation then crashed in a field while attempting a forced landing due to an engine failure on takeoff from Akron, OH in 1991.

Built as an AH-1G. Later converted to an AH-1S. Preserved at To American Legion Post #110, New Lisbon, WI by 2000.

Ex-N44967. Later reregistered as N300LF and current on the register in 2025.

Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1992 and scrapped in 2016.

A fine but very grey KC-130J Super Hercules aerial refueling aircraft in take-off from Madison. I really love watching and photographing the Hercules, all variants, but the sound of the Juliet is terrible. The most modern engine noise does simply not fit with the looks.

Wisconsin is known as the Badger state, and Truax Field, home of the 176th Fighter Squadron, is situated very close to the capital of the State, Madison. So the Air National Guard squadron proudly wear a Badger tail design and a red Madison fintip, both to show respect to the State and Capital. In the ready room of the squadron, a taxidermy Badger can be found. And the tradition is that a pilot touches this Badger before every flight.
