The end of season saw us position the two Coulson-Unical CU-47s at Melbourne Docks for breakdown and loading onto the boat to head back to the states. This was the first time we had both the Victorian and NSW based machines together.

VH-HRE crashed at Jabiru, North Territory, on June 13, 1997. The Port Melbourne helipad was part of the CAC/Hawker de Havilland aircraft factory complex. It was removed when a large part of the site was sold for redevelopment about 1997. CAC's Fishermans Bend aerodrome was part of the same factory. It closed in 1957. Mike Madden photo.
