The Springfield Community Hospital closed on November 13, 2011, concurrent to the opening of the new Springfield Regional Medical Center. The hospital itself was demolished in 2014, but this helipad still remained two years later, complete with marker balls on the nearby powerlines. Since this photo was taken, this helipad has been repurposed as part of a playground.
