Oops. There should have been a small airshow at Mar del Plata over the18-19 January 1997 weekend but as you maybe can see, a thunderstorm prevented that from happening. It took this Skyhawk from its pedestal, and nearly our aircraft from the runway, the previous night... Spuriously marked '3-A-314', it should really be 3-A-408, it is now preserved just SW of Mar del Plata at Batan aeroclub as '0667/3-A-314'.

Delivered to the 4th Fighter and Intercepting Regiment of the Argentinean Air Force on August 1949 as I-073. Moved to the 3rd Fighter and Intercepting Regiment as C-073. WFU on December 1970 and preserved at Air Force base in Mar del Plata. It was preserved as a gate-guardian on a pedestal but has been moved to the ground. It wears the fictional registration I-071.

Delivered to RAF on February 16, 1953 as WH702. WFU in 1968 and converted to Mk.62. Delivered to the Argentinean Air Force on March 20, 1971 as B-105. WFU in 1988. Preserved at the International Plastic Modellers' Society at the Mar del Plata airport.
