Ex USN 152828 built as an S-2F and converted to an S-2G in 1962. Retired to MASDC in April 1975 and transferred by sea to Argentina in October 1995. Allocated serial Argentine Navy serial 0860 and code 2-AS-27 but never entered service and used for spares, hence its MASDC code is still visible below the tailplane, although the serial and final USN unit marks (VS-38/NH-714) have been painted over. Arrived at Luján in May 2024 and is being restored for display by a team of local volunteers.

On 8th September 1964, Miguel FitzGerald took off from Río Gallegos in LV-HUA on a daring but unauthorised flight to the Falkland Islands. After a three hour flight, he landed in a field at Port Stanley, hung the Argentine flag on a nearby fence, gave a proclamation claiming Argentine sovereignty over the Malvinas to a bemused local and took off again to return to the mainland. Although initially sanctioned by the Air Force for making the unauthorised flight, he was welcomed back as a hero and the sanctions were rescinded. Later used by a skydiving club and acquired for the museum in 2014.

Argentina purchased 10 FW44 Stieglitz in 1936. FMA (Fábrica Militar de Aviones) went on to build 190 of the type under license between 1937 and 1942. 'E.E-122' is actually E.E-119 (later PG-396) and was stored at Cordoba for some years before being relocated to the Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica at Morón around 2006. Since August 2024 the aircraft has been displayed in a new room dedicated to the Pioneers of Argentine Aviation.
