The singularly drab paint scheme on half of Air Odisha's fleet of two aircraft blends with the landscape in the afternoon at Biju Patnaik International Airport. The airline was given its licence in Feb. 2018 to commence scheduled operations under UDAN-RCS (Regional Connectivity Scheme), an initiative by Govt. of India to "Let the common citizen of the country fly." A total of 695 Beechcraft 1900 were built, making it the best-selling 19-passenger airliner in history.
