Seen about to be marshalled out of its parking stand on a DHL flight the Electra's stub wings and powerful appearence are prominent.

Leased by JBQ to Hunting 1994, inscrpiption on nosewheel door reads "Operated on behalf of HUNTING CARGO AIRLINES IRELAND". The Electras woud usually only appear on DHL night parcels flights but during the winter months fog or snow at the destination occasionally enabled daylight phtography.

It had been repossessed from TPI International whose colours it is in. The aircraft name (translated as The Flamethrower) was from its TPI days. Started life as PH-LLL with KLM (as a passenger version) and I happened to fly on it from Amsterdam to Birmingham (UK) on 15 April 1968!

The aircraft had been leased to, and was still in the basic Air Bridge Carriers (UK) c/s.
