Operated a network stretching from Hobart to Papua New Guinea. The Hobart terminus was the navy base HMAS Huon, now closed. VH-TOB sold in the US as N9946F in 1954. Remained on the US register until 2012, 54 years after its last flight. Now preserved.

Ex RAAF aircraft that was declared unserviceable after being damaged by hail in 1946 while stored at RAAF Rathmines. Purchased by Bryan Monkton and converted to BOAC Hythe standard with 36 seats. Registered to Trans Oceanic Airways and used on inaugurate flights from Sydney to Grafton, Hobart and eventually Port Moresby. Lost a propeller and reduction gear near Sydney on April 16, 1951.
