Built in 1939 as U.S. civilian aircraft NC22509, it went to Canada as CF-BSL and then entered service with the RCAF as 3487 on 8-Aug-1940. The US registration was then cancelled 13-Aug-1940. In May 1945 it was struck off charge by the RCAF and In Apr-1946 it became CF-DLM and later C-FDLM and was privately owned until 1989 when acquired by the CATP Museum at Brandon/MB. In May 2012 it was brought into the Owner-Maintenance Category, which means that it has to be reregistered with an "X" added to both the aircraft type and the c/n which thus became HW-75X and 7087X.

Entered service on 22 September 1944 and was assigned to the Reserve Equipment Maintenance Unit at Picton/ON in 1946. It then became 'free issue' to the Royal Canadian Flying Club Association, for use by Saskatoon Flying Club, but was never civil registered. It then emerged from storage somewhere in 1988 to become a museum exhibit as above.
