Further to the comments appended to my earlier photo (ID.723001) of this aircraft, it was delivered to Fishburn on -7 September 2021 with the fuselage wearing XE489, code 19 and RAF unit badge (Photo ID.389547). However, a month or so later, all those markings had been removed and it was again awaiting repaint (Photo ID.448636). Since then, it would appear to have gained just a fin flash.

Delivered 19 November 1954. Into storage with 5MU, Kemble -2 November 1970, then to Imperial War Museum, Duxford by road 15 June 1972. Subsequently to Fishburn -3 July 2018.

Built 1971. Registered 19 February 1971. Cancelled 12 May 1993 as PWFU (Permanently Withdrawn From Use).

First allocated to 1 FTS, Linton-on-Ouse in 1960. De-mobbed 1973. Transferred from The Standard public house, Northallerton to the Fishburn Historic Aviation Centre, Fishburn Airfield for restoration, preservation and static display. Previously carried a maintenance serial of 8234M

In the process of fitting a new Goblin 3 engine (seen at rear of picture) for future engine runs.
