Bell X-1B This rocket powered aircraft was used for aerodynamic heat research and later to train X-2 pilots, and is currently displayed at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Seen at the National Air Show in Dayton, Ohio in 1953.

Salvaged from a very blurry 35mm slide, this T-28 was assigned to Wright Air Development Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. To 2704th Aircraft Storage and Disposition Group, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, 9Jan61. Then to North American Aviation, Columbus, OH. Converted to T-28D-5, line number 206 Assigned to 606th Air Commando Squadron, 56th Air Commando Wing, Nakhon Phanom, Thailand.

On display at the Dayton Aircraft show in September, 1953. Destroyed in a fatal forced landing at Kirtland AFB, NM Oct 9, 1962. Pilot killed.
