No less than sixteen RAF bases held Battle of Britain displays on 16th September 1961 of which Waterbeach was one. Freighter XJ470, ex G-18-193 was delivered to the A & AEE at Boscombe Down in February 1955 and flew with them until being withdrawn at Lasham in late 1968. Used for spares recovery and scrapped c1971. (Photographer unknown)
