The one and only Auster B.4 demonstrating its unique capability. Briefly tested by the British army as XA177. The project was cancelled and G-AMKL was dismantled in 1956. Some parts incorporated in an incomplete replica.

It was donated to the BDAC Old Sarum on 14th October 2022, and has been given the Aviation Heritage UK number BAPC.645.

This aircraft was operated by the Falkland Islands Government Air Service until October 30th 1951. The registration of this aircraft was changed to VP-FAB sometime after September 1949. Photo was taken at North Arm, East Falkland.

The sole Auster B4 Ambulance and light freighter. First flew as G-25-2, then to G-AMKL. Tested by the RAF as XA177 but no orders were placed and it was dismantled at the Rearsby factory in 1956.
