The S.61 fighter was presumably being demonstrated to the Swiss air force. Photo from K+W at Thun and we think the backdrop of mountains is towards the east of LSZW. Photo from: ETH-Bibliothek Zürich

The S.61 fighter was not selected by the French air force but large numbers were built for Romania and especially Poland. The S.61/6 was a racer and this second airframe was built for a world speed record attempt. It seems that it had an accident by March 1928 and was then rebuilt as the S.61/9, F-AJCR.
