Delivered in May 1953 to BEA as "Sir John Franklin". Subsequently flown by British Eagle, Channel Airways and Cambrian. Retired in Dec 1971, preserved Liverpool in 1972, then to the Duxford Aviation Society in 1975. Seen during restoration at the Duxford Aviation Society, with the paintwork still unfinished.
