On the flight line at Flying Legends Airshow 2011. This aircraft was built in 1945 for the US Navy, but was too late to see any action. It served for some years with the Fuerza Aérea Hondureña as FAH-614. A total of 2,359 F4U-4 series were built, with Vought producing all but two. The F4U-4 had a top speed of 450 mph that was around 25 mph faster than the F4U-1, thanks to its P&W R-2800-42W engine. Externally, the F4U-4 differed by having a four blade propeller and a chin air scoop.
