VH-FOE was registered in Australia June 1965. In 1971 it moved to Singapore as 9V-BCZ before returning in 1976 and taking up its previous identity. Not long after midnight on November 18, 1983, the owner and friend took off from Hamilton, Victoria. After one successful take-off and landing, the Comanche crashed and burned during a second take-off. Both on board were killed.
