Delivered to Aeronaves de Mexico October 9, 1968, this short bodied DC-9 was christened "Chihuahua" after the airline name was shortened to Aeroméxico in 1972. Leased to Aerotal Colombia in December 1989 (HK-3486X), the aircraft would return to Mexico in Setember 1994 for lease to Aerocaribe as XA-SVZ.
