This aircraft, originally N772N "Peninsula Pacemaker" with Piedmont Airlines, became N228US after the 1989 merger to form US Air. Leased by Royal Aviation in January 2001, it was merged into Canada 3000 in April. As Air Canada merged the operations of Canadian Airlines in 2001, they began to down guage equipment and later pull out of some regional routes. Air North bought two 737s May 2002 after the failure of Canada 3000 as a result of the World Trade Center attack in the USA to keep mainline service. Pictured in the basic Royal Aviation colors, C-GNAU was retired by Air North in 2011.
