VH-HFA was one of the Iraqi Furies, former Iraqi Air Force aircraft found in storage in 1979. It was registered in Australia in January 1984 and painted as an Australian navy Sea Fury. The code 253/K was not used on any real RAN Sea Fury- 253 was its former Iraqi serial. VH-HFA was sold in the US as N57JB in 1988.
