VH-HFG was one of the Iraqi Furies, former Iraqi Air Force aircraft found in storage in 1979. It was registered in Australia in November 1983. Without the kangaroo roundel - it was not adopted until 1956 - its markings are the same as the Royal Navy. The K on the fin marks it as Australian. The 308 in the code is its former Iraqi serial.
