Flown by Arthur W Jones, the Caudron attracted 3000 people to an open space near the Hambledon Sugar Mill at Edmonton, near Cairns in July 1914. The Caudron was exhibited all over Australia by Jones. The Cairns display ended when it crashed. Jones was knocked out but soon recovered. He went on to join the Australian Flying Corps.
