New missionary plane taking off in front of the historic Glendale terminal. Built in December 1955. To Ecuador in January 1956 as the first Helio sent overseas by JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Service). To HC-AGK in 1961. Lost in an accident in 1969. The Spanish titles on the fuselage read 'Summer Linguistics Institute, University of Oklahoma' and also 'Department of Education, Republic of Ecuador'. The nose says 'Inter-American Friendship Squadron' and the photo source adds 'Wycliffe Bible Translators'.
