Former USAF Beaver 51-16522 has been flying in Quebec since 1976 and with Air Mont-Laurier since 1985. It's sporting the Holmes extended engine mount appearing on more Beavers as time goes by. Full loaded, the Beaver can be very near the aft center of gravity limit for load and balance. Moving the 900+ pounds of engine 9 and 3/4 inches forward moves the center of gravity forward making loading easier, especially for aircraft with the extended aft cabin.
