The Marines moved their EA-6As to Whidbey Island in the early 1980s. RM-02 was originally delivered to the Navy as an A-6A in 1962 and converted to an EA-6A in 1965. The Seahawks flew this Intruder until 1992 when it moved to NAS Key West with VAQ-33. Retired in 1993, the aircraft was sent to the Hardwood Weapons Range in Wisconsin for use as a target.
