With Daniel Jensen (left), Michael Hansen (right) flew his Desoutter to eighth place in the London to Melbourne Air Race. Later converted to ambulance in Denmark for donation to Finland following the outbreak of the Winter War. Not delivered until the autumn of 1941, the aircraft served in the Finnish air force as DS-1 until an accident in November 1944. Restored as OH-TJA in 1947, it crashed near Tampere within a few weeks on 4 December 1947. This photo was added on 22 July 2019, and has since been viewed 1058 times. |
