Another design turned out by the prolific Fokker works - the C.XIVw seaplane. Despite the C for reconnaissance designation it was really just a trainer. 24 examples were delivered to the Dutch navy in 1939 and seaplane trainees progressed to the type after flying the Koolhoven FK.51 intermediate trainer. Eleven escaped to England in May 1940 and ten of these were then shipped to the Netherlands East Indies.
