Seen before the start of the London to Melbourne Air Race between Dragon Rapide ZK-ACO and Gee Bee NX14307, this veteran Fairey Fox, formerly J8424, crashed in Italy on 22 October 1934. Aviators Gilman and Baines were killed, the only fatalities of the race. This photo was added on 23 August 2019, and has since been viewed 851 times. |
