VH-UXD force-landed on Four Mile Beach at Port Douglas while being ferried to Papua New Guinea. The beach would later serve at the town's airstrip but is no longer used. -UXD was destroyed by enemy action in January 1942. Only one twin engine 642 was built and was followed by a single four-engine version.
