VH-UUY was registered in April 1936. It was officially withdrawn from use in November 1968 but its flying days had ended three years earlier. In 1967 UUY still looked complete but by 1970 when this photo was taken, vandals and weather had wrecked it. A year later it was scraps of plywood and fabric. All useful components had been removed to assist in the restoration of VH-UTI. This photo is copyright © David Carter, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
