Air Atlantique acquired this DC-6 in 1987 and it served them well until 2005, when it was stored at Coventry. In 2011 it was converted into a restaurant at Air Atlantique's Airbase Museum, which formally opened as the "DC-6 Diner" on 22 April 2011. The diner closed on 23 Dec 2015, following Air Atlantique's owner Mike Collett's retirement. On 1 March 2016 the diner re-opened as the "DC-6 Diner & Cafe", now owned by the Eden Hotel Collection Group. It closed down again on 28 Sep 2017, this time probably for good. However, G-SIXC still remained at Coventry by Apr 2018. This photo is copyright © Aad van der Voet, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
