Operated by Royal Aircraft Establishment. Two Sinaia twin-engined day bombers were ordered, but this was the only example to be completed and flown. Note the very unusual elevated positions behind the wings for the two side gunners which enabled them to fire defensively over a wide radius. Tested at Farnborough but broken up in the mid 1920s. Obtained from AW Aircraft 60 years ago. This photo was added on 11 November 2017, and has since been viewed 533 times. |
