Built in 1944 for the US Navy as serial 37799 then registered N4773C in 1955. Converted to PT6 turbines in 1966, but suffered a propeller failure and forced landing which resulted in it being rebuilt with R-985 radials by Viking Air at Victoria/BC in 1973. Registration C-GICK reserved but not used. It crashed again when landing on water with the wheels down. This resulted in a lengthy rebuild and re-registration as above. Current as N42GL in 2022.
