Manila was the last haven for many of the world's surviving YS-11s and it was great to catch this superbly painted and rarely seen example departing on a package flight. The aircraft has Korean Air Lines, Philippine Airlines, TOA Domestic, JAS, Air Aruba and Asian Spirit among its previous operators but unfortunately veered off the runway on landing at MNL on 16.11.06 and is no longer in service This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
